Turner House Gallery is named after the world famous 19th Century painter and was established by philanthropist and art lover James Pyke Thompson in 1888. The gallery has been developed and the collection added to in the ensuing century. Today the gallery is home to several visiting exhibitions through the year and has a small permanent display of photography.
