The Welch Regiment was formed in 1719 as a Regiment of Invalids for garrison duties and went on to play an important part in a variety of major conflicts, including in Canada, the Crimea and the Napoleonic Wars. The regiment also served in both world wars and more recently in Korea. The museum houses an extensive array of uniforms, weapons, medals and photographs documenting this history.
