Westfield Pill Nature Reserve is found on the edge of the Cleddau Waterway, Neyland. It is most easily accessed from its southern entrance signposted from Neyland Marina car park. It really is a tremendously rich sanctuary for wildlife, and you can regularly see kingfishers, hundreds of species of wildfowl, rare butterflies, Shelduck, Little Egrets and Little Grebe. Otters are frequently seen, and Ospreys have nested here. Grass Snakes and adders both live in the grasses, and four species of Bat flit about in the evenings. It is the most important site in Wales for the extremely rare Bastard Balm, a beautiful pink orchid.
