This is a south facing sandy beach, good for swimming. At the top of the beach are pebbles and fascinating rock pools. During World War Two, the beach was used for a full scale rehearsal for the D-day landings and Winston Churchill came to oversee the exercise. An excellent walk is from Wisemans Bridge to Saundersfoot along the former track of the Saundersfoot railway, passing through two old tunnels. Access to Wiseman’s Bridge is via a minor road off the B4316 and from Amroth, which runs above the beach. There is car parking and toilets above the beach.
