Avebury is the largest stone circle in Europe. Made of 200 stones and stretching for over a mile, the stone circle surrounds the picturesque village of Avebury. Once, two smaller stone circles lay within the larger one, but there is little trace of this today. Avebury is a World Heritage site and has been voted the country’s third most spiritual place. There is also an informative museum located at the site.
