The Isle of Wight of course as the southernmost county in England has a long association with the sea. This museum is dedicated to the rich maritime history of the island and its people, as well as the many shipwrecks that have occurred around the perilous waters of the English Channel. There are many fine exhibits and pictures that help to bring to life the dangers of a life on the ocean waves.
