Map
This 500 acre island, situated in the centre of Poole harbour, is perhaps most famous as the site of the first scout camp. A ferry will take you to the island, and once there most of the island is open to walkers and explorers. If you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of some of the red squirrels or peacocks which inhabit this beautiful island. There is also a nature reserve on the island where you may have a greater chance of seeing some of our more elusive wildlife.
