Charles Knight is one of the more famous non-royal sons of Windsor. The son of a bookseller and printer, Knight grew up in Windsor, living opposite the castle in this marvellous little terraced house on the High Street. He went on to develop a skill in writing and publishing which would bring him great acclaim, not only in the area but in London and across the country. He lived most of his life in Windsor where where became a wealthy man.
