When the village of Fisherton was absorbed into Salisbury, this Victorian church replaced the old parish church. St Clement’s was demolished in 1852 and its materials used for the new church designed by Thomas Henry Wyatt. The simple medieval font was transferred too. But some of the most appealing features are Victorian, like the Biblical quotations over the aisle arches. Somehow they suit the evangelical flavour of Anglicanism to be found here.
