Heale House and its eight acres of beautiful garden lie beside the River Avon at Middle Woodford, just north of Salisbury. Much of the house (not open) us unchanged since King Charles II hid here in 1651. The garden includes a Japanese Tea House and Nikko Bridge, working kitchen garden, clipped yew hedges and mellow stonework. A garden for all seasons. Open Tuesday to Sunday & Bank Holidays 10am to 5pm (closed Mondays). Ample parking. No dogs. Light lunches & cream teas available Thursday to Sunday, April to September.
