H.G. Wells lived a short time in this beautiful little house on the High Street in Windsor. The writer is one of the most famous of the early 20th Century because of famous works such as The Time Machine, Journey to the Centre of the Earth and The Invisible Man. Wells took a close interest in political affairs and spent a great deal of his later years criticising the works of Karl Marx, once commenting the world would have been a better place if 'Marx hadn't been born'.
