The steam powered HMS Warrior was one of the great prides of the Royal Navy in Queen Victoria’s reign. Harnessing the power of steam, the vast vessel revolutionised warships in this country and put Britain one step ahead of the enemy again on the ocean waves. The ship sits in the famous military docks in Portsmouth and is open to the public on a daily basis to view.
