Lydiard House is one of the most impressive architectural gems in the Swindon area and is the ancestral home of Viscount Bollingbroke. Set within acres of 18th Century cultured parkland, the house was rescued from ruin by the Swindon Corporation in 1943, and restored to its former glory. There are many galleries of famous artworks and antiques within the house, including the ‘Blue Closet’ collection devoted to Lady Diana Spencer.
