  My then girlfriend and I once sat on top of the small hill at Lyndhurst eating our fish and chips when New Forest ponies wandered closer and closer. This lovely town has many fond memories for me with its fish and chip shop, ponies and superb scenery. There are, of course, restaurants and pubs in Lyndhurst, which is right on the edge of the wonderful New Forest.   - Colin 38
