Minster Lovell Hall is a 15th Century manor, set in a riverside location in the Oxfordshire village of Minster Lovell. It is said that Lord Francis Lovell lived in a secret room within the Hall after being involved in a failed attempt to overthrow Richard III by backing Royal impostor Lambert Simnel. Only Lovell’s manservant knew his location. Unfortunately for Lovell, his manservant fell ill and died, taking his location to the grave. Years later in 1708 Lovell’s skeleton was discovered whilst repairs where being made to the hall.
