Mr Salvat has recreated the atmosphere of early coffee-houses. A waiter in knee-breeches jots down your order with a quill pen as you sit in your panelled booth. In good weather you might prefer the tables set out in the pretty garden to the rear. The historic town house makes the perfect setting. The style dates it to around 1700. You can glimpse an original fireplace of the period in this picture.
