The Museum of Archaeology is in Gods House Tower, on Southampton’s medieval walls. It tells the story of Roman, Saxon and medieval Southampton using objects excavated within the city. There are hands-on activities for families, an interactive computer area and an exciting temporary exhibition programme. For a souvenir of your visit, browse in the museum shop which stocks a range of books, cards and unusual gifts. Admission is free. Closed Mondays except Bank Holidays.
