This museum was founded by the University of Reading in 1951 and offers an insight into the lives of people who live and have lived in the English countryside. A great deal of the exhibition is dedicated to agriculture and farming, with reference to artefacts and documents that have been collected, showing the way that these practices have changed through the centuries.
