The picturesque New Inn was once a row of Tudor houses. The western part shown here was converted into a pub first. The inn has now absorbed a neighbouring restaurant, which has added two more former houses to its range. One is timber-framed and tile-hung and bears the date 1569, while the other is older and stone-faced. Together the row gives us an idea of how the ordinary citizens of Salisbury lived in days gone by.
