Located in Newport on the Isle of Wight, one thing that you are not expecting amongst the suburban homes of this area is a Roman Villa, but then you have to believe it when you see it there. There are extensive remains, showing that the Romans had a firm control on the island two thousand years ago. There is an interesting archaeological display that goes with the villa.
