Osborne House was bought by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1845 and used as a retreat away from stresses and court life. Today it is one of the most important memorials to the British monarchy. You can get horse and carriage trips through the grounds, giving you the chance to take a good look at this great historic building. There is also a children’s playground. Guided tours are also available for people wanting more information.
