Saint Michael tower is the oldest building in the historic city of Oxford. We know the tower previously formed part of the city walls around 1000 years ago as it is mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086. You can get a fine view of the city from the tower and there is also an exhibition of superb silver, ancient glass and a church with connections to William Morris (arts & crafts) and William Shakespeare.
