Slough Museum was established in 1986 and moved to its current location close to the eastern end of the High Street in 1997. There are two main galleries within the museum that celebrate the long and interesting past of the town, as well as an activity section where youngsters are encouraged to embark on some ‘hands on’ discovery. Highlights of the collection include archaeological artefacts that are over ten thousand years old and an extensive photograph archive.
