Standing in the grounds of the great St. Mary's Church at the heart of historic Slough, the war memorial is one of the centre points of community life in the borough. It marks the great sacrifice that so many of the people of the town made during the two world wars of the 20th Century. Those who died and those who survived are treated with equal thanks and respect by the simple yet beautiful monument.
