St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery was established in order to tell the story of the area that lies between the Solent and the New Forest. The gallery hosts an extensive and ever changing collection of artworks from across the region. The museum now holds over twenty thousand individual items that relate to the six parishes that the museums jurisdiction covers. On show there are pieces of geological interest that are thought to date from the Bronze Age and beyond.
