Stourhead is owned and operated by the National Trust and represents one of the most prestigious mansion houses and parkland estates in the region. The house was begun in 1721 by Colen Campbell and contains furniture made by Chippendale amongst many other fine pieces. The art collection is equally stunning, taking visitors on a journey through hundreds of years of art history. The grounds of the estate have been perfectly preserved in their original 18th Century landscaped form for visitors to enjoy.
