Sulgrave Manor was established in the early 1920s as a symbol of the strong links that existed between the United States and the United Kingdom. A direct ancestor of George Washington was responsible for the building in the middle of the 16th Century, and now it has been fully restored, giving visitors a chance to see how people lived in the past. Other exceptional parts include the 18th Century wing where there is a large George Washington collection on display.
