Swanage Railway is one of the best preserved standard gauge steam railways in the UK. It operates on the six miles of track from Swanage to Norden in the beautiful area of Purbeck and passes close to the famous ruins of Corfe Castle. A full timetable of services runs throughout the year and children can enjoy special events such as Santa Specials and visits from Thomas the Tank Engine. The carefully restored station has a restaurant and well stocked gift shop.
