The Swindon Museum and Art Gallery is housed in the Town Hall in the centre of the community, and is one of the most important cultural attractions in the local area. The museum carries a large history collection dedicated to the Jurassic past of the region, connections with the Roman government in Britain and the development of the modern town and institutions. The art gallery houses an extensive array of works established by HJP Bomford in 1944.
