From its source in the Cotswolds, the River Thames winds itself along a breathtaking journey to the Thames Barrier in London. The Thames Path is over 180 miles long and one of the most attractive walks on this national trail can be picked up at Goring on Thames. Travelling one direction along the river will eventually lead you to Pangbourne and beyond, walking in the opposite direction will take you towards the heart of the Chilterns. The path is easily accessible from Goring and Streatley mainline train station.
