The Pilgrims’ School in Winchester is an old chorister school that was once closely associated with Winchester Cathedral. Some scholars believe that these schools were established as long ago as 676 AD. The main building was designed by Christopher Wren in the 17th century and was built on the site of a Roman villa. The school also has a medieval hall and barn. Visitors can see the attractive old school buildings when they go through Kingsgate and into the grounds of the cathedral.
