Overlooking the Portsmouth Harbour is the Victorian fortress of Fort Nelson. It is home to the Royal Armouries’ collection of more than 350 historic big guns. Take a tour of the secret underground tunnels, chambers and grass ramparts. Admission is free but some events and activities may be chargeable. A programme of events takes place all year round. Visit the exhibitions in the museum to see some fantastic pieces of our history.
