Uffington, close to Farringdon in Oxfordshire is home to this interesting museum that explores the rich literary links that this community enjoys. John Betjeman, Poet Laureate, lived in the village, as well as Thomas Hughes, author of the Tom Brown’s School Days series of books. The museum contains artefacts from both men’s lives and is housed in the old school house where many of the books are set.
