This 15th Century timber framed structure has been through many facelifts and incarnations during its time at the heart of Southampton. In 1634 the building first fell into disrepair, no longer being used as a council building. The structure was then used as a warehouse for centuries before being restored in 1974 by the local authority as a general-purpose civic building and monument to Southampton’s past.
