This beautiful local history museum is housed in a medieval oak beamed hall-house. The museum has a wide-ranging collection, the focus of which is on archaeological finds from Roman times to the 20th Century. There is an interesting display related to the rise and decline of the medieval castle in the town and several reconstructed environments demonstrating local homes throughout the ages.
