Housed in an eighteenth Century warehouse near the quayside, this museum features the 2000 years of Poole’s fascinating history. Topics covered include the Iron Age, the Roman occupation, trading links with Newfoundland, the story of Poole Pottery and finds from a local ship wreck. Exhibits are displayed in a lively and interesting way making this an ideal attraction for any age group. The museum also incorporates the Local History Centre, which offers a public research facility on the history of Poole and its people.
