West Berkshire Museum is part of the longest historic building in Newbury. Originally built as a clothing factory, the building was once used as a workhouse, hospital, school and corn store before being converted into a museum in 1904. The museum stands in the heart of Newbury, on the Wharf and is brimming with West Berkshire’s past. Inside you will find items of Industrial, archaeological, social and agricultural history. Exhibits include childhood memorabilia, toys, weapons, costume and textiles, jewellery and household objects.
