This museum is designed to take visitors back in time and show them the roots of Basingstoke, how it used to be, and how it has developed into the town we see today. There are several different exhibitions that focus on different characters from different times in the town. You are invited to follow the fortunes of a 19th Century farm worker who has descended to scavenging on the streets and see an original 1960s front room, exactly as it would have been.
