Winchester City Mill is situated in the city centre on the River Itchen and has been restored to full working order. Now managed by the National Trust, visitors can enjoy learning about the history of the mill, the technology it uses to make flour and the wildlife that surrounds it. Visitors can also have a go themselves at hand-milling the flour and there are activities for all the family including quiz trails that are popular with the children.

	I love going to places where they preserve earlier ways of doing things and Winchester City Mill is certainly one of these. Furthermore, its delightful location next to the River Itchen and charming small garden, make this mill a wonderful place to visit on a Summers day like my family and I did. - Jonah Swiggert
