Once the home of Walter Scott, this house and grounds are one of the most spectacular visitor attractions in this area of the country. Sir Walter Scott bought the property in 1811 and made it his lifetime’s work to turn it into one of the most beautiful residences in Scotland. Visitors are invited to look around the grand collection that the novelist has left behind.
