This is a marvellous place to visit for those who like trees and shrubs. The planting in this garden started in the 17th Century and it now boasts some of the tallest trees in Britain. Visitors can follow many trails with useful leaflets that point out some of the rare plants which blend into their surroundings and often make detection difficult. To compliment the fine trees shrubs and colourful flower displays, craft gift items, books and plants are offered for sale. Light refreshments are also available.
