Rozelle House was the property of the Royal Burgh of Ayr for many years before changing back into private hands. The first manor house on the site was built in 1769 and showed much of the Classical style of Robert Adam. In the mid 20th Century the property returned to public hands and a variety of museums and exhibitions were established here. Rozelle House is now a major display venue and is home to a first class art gallery.
