In South West Scotland, Stranraer is the largest settlement and it is idyllically located at the top of Loch Ryan. It dates back almost 500 years when Stranraer Castle was believed to have been built. The town offers a picturesque sandy beach and lovely harbour which dates back to the 1700's.
