The Tweeddale Museum and Gallery present a lively and diverse programme of events and exhibitions. The museum was established by Dr. William Chambers, the founder of the famous publishing house; he wanted to create a centre of learning in his home town of Peebles. This aim remains today, and will enable the visitor to discover more about the history of the district and the rich, somewhat exotic collection established by Chambers.
