This Iron Age hill fort can be found on the B3082, just outside Wimborne. Managed by the National Trust, the site consists of several banks and ditches enclosing a wooded area, which is awash with bluebells in May. A circular walk along the top of the largest barrow gives unbroken views across Dorset and, weather permitting, as far as the English Channel. Parts of the earthworks are believed to be over 10,000 years old and it is suggested that King Arthur once fought a battle here.
