  Latest Barnstaple Review

Barnstaple has a good mix of retail and leisure space, with everything from High Street stores and cafés through to pub chains and national banks. It's where you'll want to head if you need to do a proper shop as it'll have all the things that you maybe can't find in the smaller village shops of North Devon.

The area around Barnstaple can get rather busy during the tourist season with the A361 getting rather clogged up with people wanting to go to North Devon, but this is a minor detraction from what is otherwise a lovely town. You are close to the sea here but also accessible to the M5 and other major routes, so day trips are relatively easy to make.
