The restored Bishops Lydeard Mill and Mill House have become sites of historical interest and are Grade II listed. The waterwheel weighs in at two tonnes and was last turned commercially 50 years ago. Visitors will experience the mill’s authentic smells, a blacksmith’s forge and life-size wax models. The wheelwright’s shop was transported from Devon and what visitors see now is exactly what patrons would have once been very familiar with. Other attractions here include a Victorian kitchen, a saddler’s and a cooper’s shop and there’s also a tearoom onsite.
