Situated close to Seaton in the beautiful Devon countryside, Blackbury Camp is a fascianting example of an Iron Age hill fort. The fort occupies an area at the end of a large ridge, almost a hundred and eighty five metres above sea level, making it one of the highest and most prominent defences in the region. The main ramparts are still visible, illustrating an unusual entraceway, thought to be unique to this site. The property is managed and maintained by English Heritage.
