If you're staying in Fowey, Bodinnick Ferry is a good shortcut to the fishing villages of Polperro and Looe, avoiding a long drive all the way around the Fowey River via Lostwithiel. Plus, if you don't have your own boat, it's a good way to see up and down the beautiful Fowey Estuary from the water. We combined the journey with lunch at the lovely Old Ferry Inn, which sits on the waterside, followed by hiking Hall Walk and then we got the Polruan Foot Ferry back to Fowey - fantastic day out!
