The Botanical Gardens in Sidmouth are a relatively understated affair, lying to one corner of Connaught Gardens close to the centre of the town. The gardens are mainly set outside in a sheltered are away from the cliffs, exhibiting many interesting plant species from around the world. Some of the more exotic plants including a fine collection of cacti and carnivorous plants have been housed in a series of small greenhouses.
